نظمها المركز الاقليمي لمكافحة الليشمانيا - وحدة حجة، الى
"مدرسة الفتح الأساسية" في بني حميد - محافظة حجة، حيث جرى فحص الطلاب
وتبين اصابة ما يقارب ربع طلاب المدرسة بشكل أو آخر من أشكال وباء الليشمانيا. هذا
وقد تم تقديم الأدوية وحقن البنتوستام المجانية للأطفال الذين تم تشخيصهم خلال
الحملة، احداهم فتاة تعاني من الليشمانيا المخاطية التي أتلفت شفاهها ولثتها منذ
أكثر من عام.
Organized by Hajjah Unit (Branch) of the RLCC to "Al-Fath Basic
School" at Bany Humaid Village of Hajjah Province, where student were
investigated for Leishmaniasis Disease.
The shocking finding was that 25% of school's students were infected by at
least one form of Leishmaniasis Disease (One girl have destructive form that
destructed her lips and gums), and the area appeared to be highly endemic with
Leishmaniasis!
Recognized children had been granted free GSK's Pentostam injections.
