How to Get Involved?

ELYP and the RLCC missions and responsibilities do increase day by day, facing an increase in demands and needs. Your input to the project will rescue and improve the life of thousands of needy patients in Yemen, especially women and children.

(1) In-Kind Donations

I. Medicine is the most needed item:

a. Main needed medicine is Pentavalent Antimonial Compounds, especially Sodium stibogluconate (Pentostam Injections) and and Meglumine antimoniate.

b. Liposomal amphotericin-B.

c. Topical paromomycin ointments.

d. Other less effective drugs: Antifungals (e.g. Fluconazole Cr. and Caps., Ketoconazole Cr. and Tabs, and Itraconazole Caps), and Antibiotics (e.g. Azithromycin Tabs).

II. Basic and advanced Laboratory equipments (e.g. PCR, ELISA, microscopes, etc).

III. Audio-Visual equipments.

IV. Research and Teaching equipments.

V. Fixed and mobile clinic equipments.

VI. Secretarial assistance (e.g. computing equipments as well as its peripherals).

VII. Scientific assistance.

VIII. Books, journals and print materials.

IX. Field vehicles (New or used 4WD Cars) and electric generators.

X. Bed nets, Insecticides, and repellent cream/spray for needy patients.

XI. Office furniture.

XII. Toys and clothes for kids.

Partnering with the Regional Leishmaniasis Control Center (RLCC) and Eradication of Leishmaniasis from Yemen Project (ELYP) offers you the opportunity to join the increasing innovative global efforts to combat one of the most serious neglected tropical diseases in the world.

Technical, educational, scientific, and surgical reconstructive operations assistance are the most needed.

With USD 100$ you can cover the full treatment course for an infected child with deadly visceral leishmaniasis or mutilating mucocutaneous leishmaniasis.
